One of the many Nigerian Air Force top officials arrested for involvement in the $2.1 billion arms deal has refunded N66 million to the EFCC.
Sunday Vanguard reports that the Chief who has been under house arrest at Niger Barracks, Abuja, had N90 million traced to him.
Upon the refund of the N66 million, he was released from his arrest and given an ultimatum to go source for the rest of the money.
An EFCC official who spoke under anonymity said this action does not mean the officer has been exonerated. He also added that other top officials from the Air Force are still being held over their refusal to cooperate.
