The Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike has come out to say that he has no interest whatsoever in the appointment of his predecessor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, as a minister.
Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Opunabo Inko-Tariah, on Monday 5th October, 2015 in Port harcourt, Wike reacted to claims made by the All Progressives Congress(APC) that he is plotting a protest against Amaechi’s emergence as a minister. He called such baseless and evil adding that Amaechi as minister had nothing to do with either him or the state.
It (the claim that Wike was against Amaechi’s appointment) is not only spurious, but fatuous and malicious. Governor Wike has no cause to orchestrate a protest against the appointment of Rotimi Amaechi.
Inko-Tariah had said.
