Manchester United have met with Paris St-Germain coach, Laurent Blanc on a possible move to the Old Trafford club.
According to French publication Le10Sport Red Devils reps have included Blanc to their shortlist of coaches to take over from the embattled Louis Van Gaal.
Blanc, who made 75 appearances for United under Sir Alex Ferguson, is still a 40/1 shot to return to Manchester United but increased interest could see the figure shorten sharply.
The Frenchman’s contract with the Paris club will expire in June and if terms are met, he might join United before any pre-season preparations begins.
Blanc has hinted severally to a PSG contract extension but still hasn’t put pen to paper – giving Manchester United a some hope.
