Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has revealed the real reasons for quitting his position as the country’s national team manager.
Speaking from his base in Belgium on Monday, Oliseh disclosed that he decided to quit instead of been sacked as his employers, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) were already planning to replace him.
I was actually preparing for my trip to London to meet with some of the players when the information got to me that the NFF were already talking to coaches that would replace me.
So I opted to resign instead of waiting to be booted out.
For me, leaving the post is honourable than being booted out.
I wish the new coaches all the best in their new assignment.
Prior to his resignation, Oliseh had spent barely eight months on the job.
